Hadley brought the best props to this shoot: her spiffy red bike and her teal-blue jeep. I’m actually really jealous of her because I want her red bike AND her blue jeep. Hadley is a Senior at Franklin High School and is one of the sweetest gals I know. She was a joy to photograph and to be around!

A huge thanks to my assistant Madison! You are the reflector queen.

This engagement session is a little bit different than normal, because the “engaged couple” has actually been married to each other for 14 years! Here’s a little bit of their story:
“We met 17 years ago, I knew at first sight that I would marry him. We were married on March 17,1997, but we didnt have a wedding… What we had could hardly have been called a marriage. By the spring of 2003 we were calling it quits and walking away when Jesus stepped in and changed everything. We had no idea of the road it would take to get here: to an AMAZING relationship and finally having our {re}wedding, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this with the people who have helped us get here. Our {Re}Wedding is a celebration of the lengths Jesus will go to save a marriage.” – Elizabeth
We shot their engagement pictures at the Preservation Station in 12th south. I felt like we could have stumbled on the door to Narnia in there! I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their (re)wedding. Here’s to the next 14 years and many more after that!

Your story is truly inspiring! I feel so honored to be a part of your re-wedding in September.
I loved getting to travel to Virginia to be a part of Amy and Kyle’s wedding. The two met and started dating in the youth group I grew up in! Everything about this wedding was so precious, and even though the rain came in and out, everyone stayed positive and joyful.
Congratulations you two! You are both blessed with wonderful families and friends who can’t wait to see what God has in store for you!

How precious are these two?

And then on to the sweet little reception and the dramatic bubble/golf cart exit.

P.S. Thanks to Maria for being an awesome assistant!
This month has been so fun! Birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, and loads of portrait sessions. Here are a few that haven’t been blogged about yet! Look at all these lovely people and memories.
