Everyone needs a little break sometimes. I’m realizing how hard it is to stop working when you’re the one calling the shots and sick days seem to be a thing of the past. But I’m grateful for sweet friends and a loving husband who remind me to slow down. I loved getting to spend some downtime with one of my favorite families last weekend at their family’s beach house!

This lovely lady is full of personality! She is only 14, but has already started an acting and modeling career. She was sent my way by a local talent agency to get some updated headshots. Mikeia did an amazing job in front of the camera and we got great pictures in no time at all!

Anna is about to graduate from Nashville Christian School and for her senior pictures, we traveled to Columbia, TN to the Anthenaeum Rectory.  Anna has been going to camps and festivals here for years and loves Civil War reenacting and history. I’m so glad we were able to go to a place that held so many great memories. So nice to meet you Anna, and best of luck as you head off to college in the fall! -k

I’ll admit it, as soon as I opened the first Hunger Games book, I was hooked. I read all three books in three days. So when I drove past this building that was so reflective, it seemed to glow with fire, I knew that I had to plan a shoot inspired by miss Katniss Everdeen. Kait and I woke up at 5:30 am and got to our location just as the light started coming up in the distance. I love the way the world looks in the wee hours of the morning.
